Kitsap Mineral and Gem Society
The Kitsap Mineral and Gem Society was founded in 1939. A long-standing community of artists and "rockhounds" have been gathering together to share in the joy and the adventure that comes along with collecting gems and minerals. We love exploring the outdoors, which often includes digging in the dirt! Once we've found these treasures, then we shape our finds into beautiful art pieces. For over 80 years, our club has been a part of the community. Our annual Fall Festival of Gems is well known in the area and gathers thousands together. Join us for one of our monthly meetings, learn about field trips and collecting sites, watch demonstrations from experts, and simply enjoy the community that embodies rock collecting. Email us at the contact link above or find us on Facebook. Go to our "Pay Dues or Donate" tab for our membership information and payment, or to join the club.

Sorry, we do NOT provide appraisal services. We are 100% volunteer run. KMGS is not responsible for incorrect identification of any minerals or stones. When participating in any activity, you agree to hold KMGS harmless. The society operates through fundraising and the generosity of our wonderful membership and the passion to share knowledge and have fun.
